The 23rd meeting of the SMIIC/ BOD was held on March 19, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
"On the first day of the meeting, Iran was appointed as a member of the Strategic Committee, the Statute Review and Amendment Committee, and the SMIIC's New Membership Assessment Committee", said Dr. Ehsan SADEH, INSO President Deputy for Quality Assessment, who participated in the meeting as the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Chair of the SMIIC/ BOD, SMIIC Secretary-General, Iran, Turkey, and Iraq were being appointed as new members of the committee reviewing the applications for new membership of SMIIC.
