During a recent meeting at the National Standards Organization of Iran (INSO), Dr. Mehdi Eslampanah, the INSO president, engaged in discussions with Dmitry Koltsov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Iran, and Andrei Zaharik, CEO of the Centromash in Belarus.
Dr. Eslampanah expressed optimism that the outcomes of their negotiations, alongside the signing of a Halal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), would pave the way for enhanced economic and trade relations between the two countries. He underscored the potential for increased collaboration, particularly in the standardization of products.
Ambassador Koltsov emphasized the significance of bolstering trade ties, reiterating Belarus's commitment to fostering closer cooperation between the national standards bodies of both countries. The delegation also discussed the importance of streamlining the export of Iranian products, particularly in light of Belarus's intention to import motor vehicles from Iran. Dr. Eslampanah assured the delegation of his support for any collaborative efforts within the relevant technical regulations and standards.
Furthermore, Dr. Eslampanah highlighted that establishing free trade between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union could affectedly enhance trade relations, marking a new chapter of economic partnership between Iran and Belarus.
