World Accreditation Day 2026 was marked in Tehran- Iran, on Jun 9, 2026 with the participation of senior officials and representatives of industry, Accredited labs, Inspection Companies, Lead Assessors, Assessors and experts emphasizing the strategic role of accreditation in strengthening trust, quality infrastructure, and sustainable economic development.
The ceremony started by the opening remarks of the President of the National Accreditation Center of Iran (NACI), Mr. Alipoor, stated that World Accreditation Day is an opportunity to recognize the strategic role of accreditation in building trust, improving quality, and strengthening economic and industrial infrastructure. He stressed that this year’s theme, “Innovation, Trust and Sustainability: The Power of Accreditation,” reflects the necessity of reliable systems for assessing competence in achieving sustainable development. He added that accreditation underpins trust in testing, inspection, calibration, and certification systems, while supporting production, trade, and public health.
Farzaneh Ansari, President of the Iran National Standards Organization (INSO), described accreditation as “the universal language of trust,” stressing its role in ensuring confidence in products and services, supporting trade, and enhancing national competitiveness. She emphasized that innovation and technological progress can only lead to sustainable growth when supported by credible and transparent conformity assessment systems.
In her remarks, Dr. Ansari featured accreditation as a bridge between innovation and public trust, underlining core principles such as impartiality, independence, competence, and consistency in ensuring reliable assessment results and facilitating international trade. She also introduced priorities including expanding digital accreditation systems, strengthening university cooperation, and training specialized assessors.
The event featured video messages from international accreditation leaders, including Ms. Jennifer Evans, the the APAC Chair, Mr. Tan Yeek Tack, the APAC vice chair and Mr. Barahim Houla, the Global ACI Chair. They highlighted the global importance of accreditation in enabling trust, quality, and sustainable development.
Iranian industry and quality sector representatives also contributed to the program. Mr.Tajik, the CEO of the Iranian Association of Auditing and Inspection and Bozorgi, the CEO of Association of Accredited Testing and Calibration Laboratories also addressed participants, emphasizing the role of accreditation in strengthening quality systems and supporting industrial development. Dr. Rezaei, the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Iran Monitoring and Conformity Assessment Iran were other speakers of this ceremony.
Speakers collectively underscored that World Accreditation Day 2026, held under the theme “Innovation, Trust and Sustainability: The Power of Accreditation,” reflects the growing importance of reliable conformity assessment systems in enabling technological progress, market development, and sustainable growth. They emphasized that strengthening accreditation frameworks is essential for enhancing trust, improving quality infrastructure, and supporting long-term economic development.
