Eight Countries Attend International Meeting on Animal and Vegetable Fats and Oils

On October 23, 2024, the joint working group of the technical committee of ISO/TC 34/SC11 /JWG 2: Animal and vegetable fats and oils, Classification and description" conducted a virtual meeting hosted by the Iranian National Standards Organization.

The meeting was attended by prominent Iranian experts, including Dr. Sadegh Azadmanesh Damirchi from Tabriz University and Dr. Farnaz Shariati of the Seed and Plant Improvement Institute. Representatives from France, India, Italy, Malaysia, the UK, the USA, China, and Canada also participated this meeting.

Under the leadership of Dr. Zahra Piravivank, Director General, Bureau of Monitoring on Implementation of food and Cosmetic Standards, the meeting successfully advanced the project to the next stage of standard development.
