Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Becomes First Certification Issuing Body in IECEE System

In a significant advancement for Iran's industrial sector, the Energy and Power Industries Laboratories Company (EPIL) has become the first Iranian entity authorized to issue international certifications within the IEC System for Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechnical Equipment and Components (IECEE) conformity assessment system. This milestone, facilitated by the Iran National Standards Organization, marks the country’s entry into the global framework for certifying electrical and electronic equipment.

Dr. Farzaneh ANSARI, President of the Iran National Standards Organization, hailed the achievement as a pivotal step in enhancing Iran's presence in international markets and boosting the export potential of domestic products. She noted that the initiative will promote certification bodies and internal testing laboratories, streamline certification processes, and lower costs and timelines.

This progress is expected to bolster domestic production and enhance the credibility of Iranian goods, opening new export avenues and attracting foreign investment. The inclusion of EPIL in the IECEE system aims to provide Iranian industries with a competitive edge, fostering trust among consumers and traders while reducing reliance on imports.
